B-PIex contains the most important members of the vitamin B group in therapeutically balanced proportions. The members of the vitamin B group contained in B-PIex are components of enzyme systems that regulate various stages of carbohydrate, fat and protein metabolism. Each of the components is playing a specific biological role. Deficiency of vitamin B causes glossitis, stomatitis, cheilosis, polyneuritis, beri-beri, pellagra and vascularisation of cornea.
B-PIex is indicated for nutritional supplementation as a prophylactic agent against specific vitamin B deficiencies disease (such as glossitis, stomatitis, cheilosis, polyneuritis, beri-beri, pellagra and vascularisation of cornea), either single or multiple. B-PIex is also taken along with antibiotic or antitubercular drugs.
Dose and Administration
B-PIex Syrup: 1-2 teaspoonfuls 3 times daily or as directed by the physician.
Use in Pregnancy and Lactation
It is safe to use B-PIex in pregnancy and lactation.
Contraindication and Precaution
B-PIex is contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to any of its components.
Multivitamin preparation with ordinary doses of each component is usually nontoxic.
As little as 5 mg pyridoxine daily can decrease the efficacy of levodopa in the treatment of Parkinsonism. Therefore, B-PIex is not recommended for patients undergoing such therapy.
Protect from light and moisture. Store in a cool (below 30°C) & dry place. Keep out of the reach of children.
